10 years of clean water!

The community of Bafon Kajou worked with Haiti Outreach to install a well and learn how to sustainably manage it back in 2014. They have had access to clean water for over 10 years!

This is because of the incredible work of the whole community paying each month for services and the water committee keeping it managed with integrity.

The committee still meets on the 1st of each month to discuss who is responsible for what, like calling a technician immediately when an issue arises or submitting monthly water reports on mwater - the national database. The people of Bafon Kajou have seen how the coaching and well preparation tools from over 10 years ago from Haiti Outreach have still made all the difference in setting them up for long term sustainable access to clean water success. Being responsible for their well ensures their families are clean and healthy for generations to come.
