Leadership Training in Ferrier

This week our community development coaching team is busy training dozens of leaders in Ferrier in northeastern Haiti. Ferrier has over 3,000 homes and 18,000 residents.

Recognizing the need for collective effort to transform Ferrier into a developed commune and understanding that they couldn't achieve this goal independently, they approached Haiti Outreach for support in training a core group of their authorities. With little national government structure of any kind currently in place, support is a greatly needed.

They also stated that Haiti Outreach is the only organization who could address the complexity of their challenges, including saltwater intrusion in the groundwater, sustainable development, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), and water engineering. Because of what was accomplished with Pignon’s water system, they knew Haiti Outreach was the best team to coach them to step into a new future!
